NEWS UPDATE
August 25, 2005
Well, another outrageous and bodacious show at the Brass Mug last Saturday, August 20, turned out to be a tremendous success thanks to all you metal heads that came out to cheer us on!! We actually even started on time, unlike the CD release, where due to scheduling snafus, we did not make it on stage until almost 1 a.m. Many said our sound production mix was even better than the June CD release show, probably because Shaun Egger was behind the board. He should know our sound better than anyone else since he spent the past 2 years engineering and co-producing Venal Vagaries at his renowned Axium Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida!!!
Special thanks to Rivot Rag’s Jack Rudzinski for not only coming out to the show, but for the flattering write up in his July ’05 issue. Moreover, congrats to Jack and all at Rivot Rag for taking the “Best Publication” award at the recently held Tampa Hard Music Award Ceremonies. We want to thank HollowPoint for rousing up the crowd for us and putting on a kick ass performance.
We are working on scheduling a show at Boomerz Boiler Room in Pinellas County sometime in mid-November so we will keep you posted once we get confirmation. We are looking at doing something at Masquerades sometime before the end of the year, too.
We mentioned last time that we would let you know about upcoming reviews on our recent Venal Vagaries CD release. As mentioned, Rivot Rag did one in last month’s issue. Also, check out the metal maniacs from Belgium’s www.metaltoinfinity.tk who just gave us a rave review on their website. (You can go read the review if you like) at:
http://metaltoinfinity.00freehost.com/VainrachellCDreview.html
Belgium is really getting into us. Another cool site from that country to check out is www.hellspawn.be who contacted us about helping us get exposure over there.
To those who haven’t yet got a copy of our CD, what the f**k are you waiting on???? March your asses over to www.cdbaby.com and get a damn copy for only $9.99! Spread the word, come to shows, and continue all your blasphemous ways, for we will see you all sooner than you’ll ever know………

Thanks to all who attended our CD release party earlier this
month at the Brass Mug!! Special thanks to the guys from
Argus and Hollowpoint for helping us give all of you a full-
blown night of metal!!
By popular demand, we have been asked to schedule another
show at the Mug for Saturday, August 20th, so we will be sure
to let you know who else will be on the bill that night with us.
We are finalizing the paperwork to have “Venal Vagaries”
available for internet sales via www.discmakes.com/cdbaby
We are also looking to book some gigs in Pinellas and Pasco
Counties very soon. For those of you requesting to be placed
on our email list, please go to our “contact us” section so that
we can make it happen!!
Lastly, we have submitted our cd to various national and
internet-based rags for review so we’ll keep you posted
once we hear back from them to see what the hell they think
of Vain Rachell metal!!
See ya!

Well, we finally wrapped up the mastering portion of our
production. Roddy and I flew down to Miami on April 2nd
to master our project at the world renown FullerSound Studio
where Mike Fuller did an awesome job!! This guy has
mastered audio productions on everyone from the Bee Gees,
to Kenny Rogers, to Bubba Sparxx, to Nonpoint. We were
extremely please w/ the finished mastering and can only rave
about Mike’s technical prowess. Especial thanks to Joy who
coordinated and facilitated all necessary logistics for us and
Mike.
We are now moving on to the replication phase and will be
looking to have artwork and cd duplication ready for press by
either late April or first week of May. We are working w/ a
group from New York during this portion of the Venal
Vagaries production.
Don’t forget, the CD Release Party is slated for Saturday June 4th
at the infamous Brass Mug in Tampa, Florida!! We will have
very special guest, Argus, of 80’s fame throughout Florida. These
guys have recently reunited and are back w/ a vengeance!! Check
them out at their website www.argusband.com.
We’ll be adding add’l pix to website in next couple days, so stay
tuned!!

Its been a while since we've had a working website;
fortunecity.com decided to erase all our MP3's and wav
files without notice, sending our website and files into
oblivion. Fortunately, Martin and his co-worker Unni,
managed to get us some web space on their server. So..
after some small snags, work started on the new site on
Aug. 7 2003, a day that will live in infam...
Anyhow, we've been working on the new Vain Rachell
project, no name yet, since late November. We finished
recording all the tracks and have moved on to "mixing down"
the songs. We have three done but they still need to be
"matered". We should be finished in six, or so, more sessions:
twelve weeks at the earliest!
We have only played out once, that I can remember, this year.
It was two weeks ago in Fort Desoto; Punta Verde, at the Marina
Resort. It's an excellent place to play being outside by the pool
with plenty of beer and T-backs. We hope to play there again
soon, or if not there is always the Brass Mug.
